How to Measure Yourself
-
Shoulders
Measure from the point where the shoulder connects to the neck to the highest outer point of the shoulder. -
Bust circumference
Measure around the chest at the fullest part of the bust. -
Waist circumference
Take this measurement along the natural waistline, at the narrowest part. -
Hip circumference
Measure horizontally at the fullest part of the hips. -
Arm length
Measure from the shoulder joint to the wrist bone. -
Inseam length (crotch seam length)
This is the length of the inner side of the pant leg.
Measure from the base of the leg to the intended hem of the pants.
A convenient method is to take your favorite pants that fit well, lay them flat on a smooth surface, and measure the inseam length. -
Outseam length
This is the length from the top edge of the pants to the bottom hem.
For an accurate measurement, take pants with the same waist height as the ones you plan to buy.
Fold them in half, lay them flat on a horizontal surface, and measure the outseam, including the waistband.
